Being tall is stunning but being tall with good posture is drop-dead gorgeous. The way you stand, walk and sit says a lot about your personality, attitude, vibes and confidence level. Posture involves more than your physical appearance, the way you position your posture which is your body is the way you will position your life. We are built to stand up and sit straight. As a kid growing up my parents always told me to watch my posture and the way I sit in certain chairs in public and in home. “Sit up straight”, pull your shoulders back”, “don’t slouch”. My mom always used to yell at me when I was younger to sit up straight or else I was going to be a "tall lady walking with a hunchback instead of walking beautifully tall."
Gravity is such a big part of our bodies and it pulls our bodies downwards. So when you align your body you’re distributing the force of gravity evenly through our bodies which is the goal every day for our tall bodies. My mom always used to tell me to stand in front of the mirror. Take a deep breath and stand straight. Hunch over and make a bad position with your back. Tell yourself how you feel and if you know the uncomfortable pain, then you’ll pull your back straight and put your chest up. Standing straight in front of the mirror.
“Bad posture in females and males included are not appealing to many, if you don’t fix it now it will bring health problems in the future.”
Practice Good Posture
· Breathe in and let your chest extend outward, as you hold your head straight, chin parallel to the ground.
· Naturally hold your shoulders back and relaxed.
· Stand with your weight shared evenly on your feet.
· Stand as tall as you can :)
When you sit in a chair, good posture is not brushed under the rug:
· Sit with your spine straight against the back of the chair.
· Shoulders down and relaxed.
Continue to walk tall with your head held high. It’s good training and practice for finding opportunity, for feeling great, and for practicing your back to hold you up as you trail this amazing place.
With Love,
