BEING TALL ON A BUDGET

Updated: Apr 18, 2019

Being tall is one thing, being tall on a budget is on a whole other level. Follow me on Instagram @__CHEK and check out my igtv video where I go into detail about these beautiful brands and what they do to help my budget stay intact while being stylish at the same time. Here are the list of brands I love that are on a budget.

1. ASOS

So far so good with ASOS, they have affordable jeans for us tall women. Prices that are beyond me. Jeans for my long inseam girls ranges between $20 - $50 can’t beat that.

2. PRETTY LITTLE THING

They have a lot of options that are trendy and in style, I was kind of hesitant shopping at PLT because I thought their pants wouldn’t fit me because of my long legs but seeing one of my friends who is 6’2 made me more confident to go full force and try it out.

3. GAP

Gap is one of my favorite stores however my Highviewers that are strictly in a budget this may or may not be for you. Gap is on the high end for prices, jeans usually go for $60 - $100. One thing I can say about GAP is that the longevity for their piece of clothing is worth it. I have jeans and dress pants that are still intact for almost 7 or 8 years now which is evident that it is a good investment.

4. TOPSHOP

Topshop another brand that is not on the less expensive end, however it is also a good investment because you won’t have to buy jeans from there all the time because of poor quality of clothes. I have been a loyal shopper at Topshop since my freshmen year of college constant researching brought me to them and I’m glad I dove in with them because they truly have nice variety of pieces.

5. ZAPPOS

One thing we need to complement our nice outfit is our shoes. Ever since news broke out that Payless was closing down my world has shattered however Zappos has always been there when all else failed. Zappos has a wide variety of different brands from Nike to Uggs, with that comes prices that are a wide range. Shoes on Zappos range from $30-$115 depending on what brand you choose to buy.

6. THRIFTING

Thrifting is a huge factor on shopping on a budget while tall for me. You get to see and experience clothes that bring a different light to your style. For me, my style when it comes to thrifting would be vintage with a hint of modern chic. I like to thrift because I don’t usually go to the mall I either online shop or thrift. Thrifting back then was something to be embarrassed about but with time it’s become a fun hobby for others and for myself . One thing thrifting can take away from the rest is that they have pieces that you won’t ever see in the mall or an online boutique and if you’re like me that LOVES uniqueness thrifting is your best match. Loyal thrift store to me located in Washington, DC.

7. NORDSTROM RACK

Nordstrom Rack another place that might not be on some of my Highviewers budget list. With that being said use your discretion when looking at brands at the rack. Some brands for shoes can be as low as $45 dollars which is not a bad deal because the discount rates are up to 70% off. So after all that math you’re getting a huge deal and top of that the duration of the shoes at the rack last a long time.

My Highviewers we are on a whole rollercoaster when it comes to clothes but it’s fine because you find something new and innovative all the time which is worth the ride. I would love to hear any other brands I missed out that is a great fit for you. Until then…

With Love,

My Highview
